The cost-effective approach to compliance for businesses of all sizes.

Your business is driven, by choice or by customer demand, to operate in areas affected by export controls, on either the purchasing or supply side.  Getting this wrong will cause delays and damage business relationships.  How do you manage this area cost-effectively to achieve business objectives?

The answer is VCM.

VCM operates by providing an initial assessment of the extent of export control support required by your business.  This is, in effect, the export control element of your risk assessment process.  If your current risk assessment process does not include export controls, especially if you deal in any way with the United States, it fails to assess a very significant risk which, typically, falls into the top ten corporate risks indentified by major companies operating in the dual use and/or defence industries - probably your own customers.

A named contact is agreed within the business

David Hayes - Export Controls then provides an agreed service, based upon time per month, to support your business in export controls.  This service is provided at a discount from the normal daily rate and can include activities such as development of policies and procedures, training, assistance in assessing your products against control lists or providing confidential Board level advice on the export control implications of any planned activity.

VCM clients can also choose to add other activities, e.g. support before or at DTI audits, liaison with US parties in relation to licenses and agreements, to name but a few.  Additional services provided to VCM customers are provided at the same, discounted rate as the core VCM service.

VCM is billed quarterly in advance, except the initial account which may be adjusted to bring all VCM clients onto the same charging period, thereby providing predictable costings.

VCM allows businesses of all sizes the flexibility to participate in increasingly complex, regulated areas of goods and technology with professional support, thereby reducing the significant business risks of mistakes in this area.
